Camy De Mario was born in Milan, Italy, and moved to the United States in 1995.
She has always loved drawing and painting since an early age, and at some point in her life she has also discovered her passion for writing. She has started a new career as a published author about eight years ago. As both, author and illustrator, Camy has numerous children’s books published, and she has also collaborated as a freelance illustrator with other authors. Today, through a deep inner, spiritual transformation, she has started to combine her artwork with her writing, developing a new series of books, which Camy calls “Picture Books for Grown Ups”. As an artist, she has a unique way to express her feelings, through brights colors, and mixed media techniques with acrylic. Abstract universes, animals, sea creatures, ocean and beaches are the main favorite subjects for her artwork. |

"The line between reality and fantasy. Seeing a goblet in an acorn top. Sequins become mermaids scales. A leaf becomes a dress. Earrings that are faerie crowns. This is what sparks my imagination to create, while my love of details drives my passion to sculpt. Each piece becomes alive and many have their own stories to tell. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did listening to them!"
